We are officially halfway through 2021, and what a year it has been. Over 65% of Canada’s population has gotten at least one dose of the vaccine. Summer is in full swing. Things are opening up. And the future is full of promise.
It’s also a great time to pause, reflect on your personal life, your business goals and the progress you’ve made so far. In other words, it’s time for a mid-year review.
You might be thinking, ‘what do I need a mid-year review for, when I can just wait until the end of the year?’ We get it, we’ve had a tough year and a half, you have competing priorities, you want to enjoy the good weather, perhaps take some vacation, the list goes on and on.
However, we all know Q4, or the end of the year is the busiest period for dental practices. Patients want to bank in on the last of their insurance coverage for dental treatment before the New Year, staff usually book the remainder of their vacation, etc. That’s why it is critical that you spend the time to evaluate your progress now, to ensure you are on the right track to hitting the targets you set before the year ends.
And that’s why a Mid-Year Review is so valuable. It allows you to look at the past to evaluate your performance, and also look ahead to plan tangible efforts to keep you on track to where you want to be. You might not even have a goal in place just yet, so now is certainly a great place to start.
Convinced but not sure where to start? We cover the 4 foundations for a successful dental clinic in the above video.
